Today is Rosh Chodesh Iyar. The beginning of the

Today is Rosh Chodesh Iyar.
The beginning of the new Jewish month “Iyar”.

Iyar in Hebrew is also the acronym for the saying ׳׳אני ה׳ רפאך׳׳, “I am Hashem your Healer”.

This month is the month of healing. It is also a month of rain which already started last night. Maybe Hashem, in his infinite kindness is giving us rain as a healer. Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz, a student of the Baal Shem Tov, writes that the rain of this whole month is healing. If a person wants to be healed, he should stand outside and let the rain fall on his head. He should open his mouth and let a little bit of rain inside. If a person wants to start a new medication or treatment, it should be started when Iyar comes. It's no coincidence that Hashem who loves us so much is sending to everyone this remedy now.

Wishing you a month full of healing and blessing. May we continue to dance and sing in the rain.
