Jews arrived in Morocco over 2,500 years ago. Once the home to the largest Jewish community in the Muslim world, Morocco’s ancient Jewish community represented centuries of coexistence. Today, fewer than 3,000 Jews remain while more than 1 million Moroccan Jews live in Israel. This YEHUDI Fellowship will begin by exploring the rich heritage and beautiful home that a once thriving Jewish community built over two and a half millennia.
YEHUDI Fellowships is the chance for Jewish college students to connect to their community and strengthen their Jewish identity. Fellowships include learning and Shabbat opportunities on campus during the semester and life changing trips with students from across the state of Florida.
